Exactly! Haha the debate was about freedom of speech on the internet, and banning laptops to offenders. This went on for 2 hours debating why poor people cant afford laptops.

But, I still want to know if I can or can't afford a laptop...

Lolz... Uh, cause they're poor? Or they choose/are forced to devote their limited resources to other things.

MUN: where teenagers pretend to fix the world by stating what they think is the "obvious". It is wishful thinking after-school and during the lunch hour.

Pretty much. Only these were pre-teenagers. The worst part about kids combined with the worst part of teenagers.

I went to a private high school where half the kids had parents there were really into the political scene. So kids would wear the party pins and pretend to take world issues seriously. But really it was just a world of empty gestures. I like economics but just reserved myself to reading economics on my own. As opposed to them I can see a problem, understand the cause, understand the mechanism and possibly come up with a solution that I grasp its inter workings. Thats not to say I am the best economist just that I decided to open a book before saying whatever I thought was "common sense". Now in college some of the same things occur, but it seems more dispersed across different issues.
